David Gray
David Gray has worked on a number of programs to embed marketing capabilities in client organizations and designed competitive simulations to test strategies through customized ‘war gaming’ experiences. He also helped create Monitor’s first online-learning product, Leverage Point for Marketing Strategy, a self-paced, interactive marketing tutorial. Before joining Monitor in 2004, David worked with The Strategy Institute of The Boston Consulting Group where he directed the Institute's Strategy Gallery which explored the power of metaphors to help examine strategic dynamics in business. He has written on the use of metaphor in the Harvard Business Review and the Santa Fe Institute Bulletin. Prior to BCG, David worked as a consultant at the World Bank in Washington, D.C. on issues of infrastructure privatization in developing countries. He holds an MBA from the Darden School of Management and a BA in philosophy from Harvard. David lives with his family in Brookline, MA and writes quirky poems and children’s stories.
